Biography

I, Mohammad Amin Latify, am an associate professor of the Power Group with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology. I am currently the Vice-Dean of Research in the department. I was the head of Power Group from November 2016 to January 2021. My research interests are in electricity markets and economics, smart grids, power system operation and planning, and optimization theory applications.

Previously, I have served as the head of the department of "Electricity Market Mechanisms Design and Development" and the department of "Electricity Market Regulation and Oversight" at the "Office of Iran Electricity Market Regulatory Board" in which, I have gained several years of industrial and regulation experiences. At the Office of IEMRB, I was engaged in regulation and research in the areas of market power monitoring, generation asset privatization, generation adequacy assurance, transmission open access, electricity market operation, distribution system pricing, electricity exchange, and spot market coordination and etc.
